Your Instructor for the Bocconi Test
Eden June Michael is the Bocconi Admissions Test Instructor. Since 2006, Eden has been honing her caring but effective teaching style based on the Socratic Method. Her former students and clients are now startup CEOs, diplomats, executives, entrepreneurs, and department heads. She even taught a princess!
Originally from Atlanta, Georgia USA, Eden worked with top test preparation companies including The Princeton Review and Veritas Prep in the USA, Thailand, and the UAE. She has been offering test prep to students for more than 15 years. During her career, Eden has taught students from over 50 countries that have gone on to attend more than 100 schools worldwide.
Eden is a Google Certified Educator with more than 5 years of online teaching experience as well as a certified Executive Coach. Raised in Atlanta, Eden earned a BSChE from Georgia Tech and an MS from Florida State University. Prior to becoming a test prep instructor, she was a consultant for an engineering firm. When Eden is not tutoring, she is traveling, going to the beach, and reading.

Frequently Asked Questions about Bocconi Test Tutoring
Why should I prepare with you and not use just an online course?
Taking a course online is fine, but you won’t have a tutor assessing you and focusing on your exact needs. A good tutor, even online, can address your strengths and weaknesses. Most importantly, they can answer your questions as you have them. We only recommend online courses for people who LOVE distance learning and can understand the topics from videos and internet searches. The EASIEST way to prepare is with someone who knows what they are doing.
Is the online Bocconi tutoring really private?
Yes, it is! You are the only student on the call with your tutor. You will not join a class of students. It’s 100% private and you will speak with your instructor 1-on-1.
If online Bocconi tutoring is the same as in-person, why is it cheaper?
Online Bocconi tutoring is cheaper than in-person tutoring for three reasons. First, your tutor does not incur the extra expenses of traveling to your location. Second, because there is no travel time, your tutor can teach more students in a few hours. Therefore, it is much more convenient for the tutor to offer lessons online. Lastly, the student doesn’t need as many hours because we can reduce the amount of time spent on in-person drills. Same great content, same great interaction, fewer hassles. We have decided to pass these savings on to our students to encourage online preparation.
Do I need to have taken the SAT?
You do not need to or have to take the SAT to apply to Bocconi. We ask students if they have taken the SAT before because it usually means that they are prepared for some of the Bocconi test concepts. If students have prepared for the SAT before, we usually can reduce the number of tutoring hours required to prepare for the Bocconi test. Therefore, tutoring becomes cheaper for parents and students.
Should I take the SAT and Bocconi Test?
If you have time, you should absolutely do both tests. The Bocconi Test can be taken any time starting mid-July essentially whenever you want. The SAT is given multiple times a year on a fixed schedule. We recommend students take both tests because the SAT can be used for admission to other universities, while the Bocconi Test may be a higher-scoring test for some students.
What is CV/resume’ help?
The Bocconi application requires students to submit a CV/resume’. As part of Basic Prep, we will review your resume’ and provide comments to help you improve it. If you select Complete Prep, we will give you a streamlined template to use and review your resume’ until we are both happy with it.
What is motivational letter help?
The Bocconi application requires students to submit a motivational letter. As part of Basic Prep, we will review your motivational letter and provide comments to help you improve it. If you select Complete Prep, we will brainstorm the letter during a Zoom call, provide you with notes based on the call, and review up to three drafts of the letter.
How many students did you tutor for Bocconi last year?
We worked individually with six students for the early session and 15 for the second session deadline. There were a few students after that, so around 24 during the last admissions cycle. The number of students we take is largely driven by the compatibility in our schedules so the numbers tend to be smaller than a big institute.
How many secured a place at Bocconi University?
About half of them got in. Acceptance is also a function of GPA, but we have also found that it depends on the program they are applying for (some are more competitive than others) and the student’s background (gender, country, etc).
This trend is also reflected in the scoring vs. acceptance. We have had students be accepted with 28/50 and others be rejected with 40/50. Bocconi generally regards 35/50 as an amazing score.
All of our students have felt prepared for the test and increased their scores.
Are there any tutoring terms and conditions?
Bocconi Test Tutoring Terms and Conditions: The actual number of hours depends on student availability. Fees are payable in advance in blocks of 5 hours. Discounts may be given for additional hours and preparation for multiple tests. A firm quotation will be provided prior to registration. We accept bank transfer, Wise, and PayPal.
Can’t I just do troubleshooting?
Troubleshooting is appropriate for students that have already taken a test preparation course or have previously taken the test after significant study on their own. It is not as thorough as comprehensive preparation since the focus is only on specific test topics. Once students complete an online diagnostic test and send the results to Apply Me, we will pinpoint their problem areas. Homework will be assigned to be completed prior to tutoring sessions.
