“This course was exceptionally helpful to me. I badly needed help in the verbal section and could not afford to go through the various different preparatory books due to the time constraints. This course offered a comprehensive solution, which improved my scores in all sections of the GMAT…I improved my score from a 580 to 690.”

AZEEB, accepted to Mannheim School of Business

“Feeling confident and comfortable while taking the test is crucial and Eden helps you reach the confidence and comfort levels needed to achieve the score you want. I had trouble with the quantitative part but Eden supported me all the way. I would not have been able to score over 700 without the help I received.”

JUDE, accepted to CEIBS

Frequently Asked Questions about GMAT Tutoring in Dubai

Do I have to take the GMAT?

Most MBA programs still consider the GMAT as THE admissions test to take for entry. Some business schools have introduced their own standardized tests to assess applicants, so be sure to check the website for every MBA program you’re interested in. Many EMBA programs now accept the Executive Assessment (EA) from GMAC instead of the GMAT.

I’m working. When should I start applying for my MBA or graduate school?

The ideal time to start planning for your MBA or graduate school is 1 year before you intend to apply. For example, if you want to apply in September 2020 to start in Fall 2021, you should start now. Beginning early gives you enough time to prepare for and ace your admissions tests, take more responsibility at work to improve your profile, be nice to the people you want to write your recommendations, and not lose your mind as you try to work and apply. For MBA applicants, you should start early because your best chances of acceptance are in Round 1, the September to December application period. Graduate students should keep in mind that most graduate programs only accept applicants for fall semester. If you miss the deadline, you’ll have to wait a year to apply.

When should I start preparing for the GMAT?

You should start your GMAT tutoring in Dubai once you have an idea of which MBA programs you will be applying to. Shortlisting 3 to 5 universities before you start your private GMAT tutoring will give you an idea of the target score you need and how hard you will have to work to achieve it.

Should I take the GMAT twice?

Absolutely! We find that the first time students take the GMAT they are very nervous. When they take the GMAT the second time, they naturally score higher because they know what the experience will be like. One of the benefits of private GMAT tutoring in Dubai is that you can save one of your sessions for troubleshooting between tests.

Are the EA and GMAT really that different? Can’t I just prepare for the GMAT but take the EA?

Despite the fact that many big test makers brand the Executive Assessment as a mini-GMAT, the two tests are different. The EA doesn’t include an essay or about half of the topics covered on the GMAT quantitative section. In addition, the EA is much shorter and has a different scoring (Integrated Reasoning IS part of your composite score on the EA, but not the GMAT). If you prepare for the GMAT but take the EA, you will waste time and sanity preparing for topics that aren’t on the test.

Can I reduce the number of hours I have to prepare?

Yes, you can. If you choose to only prepare for the Quantitative Section (math), you can complete roughly 10-12 hours of preparation instead of 20 hours. However, your tutor will not know if this reduction is an option until you complete a diagnostic test. Remember that private GMAT tutoring in Dubai should be tailored to your needs rather than the institute’s or instructor’s needs.

How many hours do I have to study each week?

It depends on when you are taking the GMAT. If you are taking the SAT in 6 weeks, you will need 2 lessons per week (4 hours total) and about 6 hours to complete the homework. Expect to study for 10 to 15 hours a week.

If you are taking the GMAT in a few months, you can do 1 lesson per week (2 hours) and complete the homework in 2 to 3 hours. We prefer this schedule for students because it allows them to integrate GMAT studying with their work, family, and other commitments. Students on this schedule also tend to score higher because they have time to complete more practice tests and integrate the lessons into how they take the GMAT.

Are there any tutoring terms and conditions?

GMAT Tutoring in Dubai Terms and Conditions:  The actual number of hours depends on student availability and scores from a diagnostic test. Fees are payable in advance in blocks of 10 hours. Discounts may be given for additional hours and preparation for multiple tests. Typical hours required for test preparation are as follows. A firm quotation will be provided prior to registration.

Can’t I just do troubleshooting?

Troubleshooting is appropriate for students that have already taken a test preparation course or have previously taken the test after significant study on their own. It is not as thorough as comprehensive preparation since the focus is only on specific test topics. Once students complete an online diagnostic test and send the results to Apply Me, we will pinpoint their problem areas. Homework will be assigned to be completed prior to tutoring sessions.

Do you offer admissions assistance?

We do offer admissions consulting. We can help you with the entire process or just a few essays.

Do you teach GMAT Focus edition?

Yes we do! The GMAT Focus edition is the latest version of the GMAT and what we will be teaching you.
