Quick Tips to Maximize Your Chances of Getting In
1. Take the essays seriously.
Hopefully, you have been to the INSEAD information events and the admissions officers know your name. However, other than a meeting and a few emails, INSEAD admissions will not know anything about you…until they read the essays. So, make the essays count.
2. Start early.
Create your online application account, download the essay template, and start brainstorming. The essays definitely cannot be left until the last moment. Start them early.
3. Get help if you need it.
Don’t want to hire an admissions editor like us? Ok, but make sure you have a couple of people that can review your essays. Moreover, they should be willing to actually rework sections that could be better. Most importantly, they should give you their unbiased opinions of the essays. There’s a lot at stake…
4. Stick to the word count.
A word on word counts: 500 words max means 500 words max. Don’t go 10% over because you heard that would be acceptable. You must convey your thoughts precisely and succinctly.
Similarly, get as close to 500 words as possible without padding your essay with endless storytelling. If you can’t get to 500 words, you haven’t explained enough.
