Bocconi Test Math: 27 Worksheets to Get You Ready!

The Bocconi test math subject area is by far the most important part of the test. Math alone is 28 out of the 50 questions. Without scoring well on math questions, you will not get the score your need (ideally 35 out of 50) to support your application to Bocconi University.

But let’s back up…Here’s what you need to know about the Bocconi test and its scoring:

The Bocconi Admission Test is a 75-minute, 50-question test specifically designed for students applying to Bocconi.

Each correct answer is worth 1 point. Incorrect answers cost you 0.2 points. If you score lower than 17, you’re out of the application process. A good competitive score is 35 points out of 50. To achieve this score, you will have to answer every question (no blanks).

All questions are multiple-choice with 5 answers. There are different types of questions and they are mixed by the level of difficulty (easy, medium, difficult) and topic (e.g., reading, math).

Got more questions? Check out our 15 answers to the most frequently asked questions.

If you’re going to score well on the Bocconi test math subject area, you’ll need lots of practice. We’ve written a full guide to how to study for the Bocconi test, but we wanted to offer even more help for the Bocconi test math section. Here are 27 worksheets to get you ready!

Algebra

Functions

Vertical and horizontal asymptotes (don’t worry about graphing them or the holes, just identify vertical and horizontal asymptotes)
Inverse functions (again don’t graph them, just find the functions)

Plane geometry

Analytical geometry

Logarithms and exponents

Sequences

Discrete mathematics

Probability

Independent events (only do the first 8, you can also calculate the probability for the first 4 questions. Here are the answers: 1) 1/12, 2) 8/33, 3) 25/546, 4) 9/250

Knowing how to do these worksheets won’t be enough for a good score on the test. You have to have a test strategy and timed practice as well!

Bocconi Test: 17 Questions About the Test Answered

The Bocconi test is becoming more and more popular. Why? More and more students are applying to Bocconi University in Milan, Italy. Great weather, great education, and great culture. What’s not to like?

We have been working with students from the UK, Europe, and–surprisingly!–the US to prepare for the test, so we’re going to answer the most frequently asked questions we receive.

1. What is the Bocconi test?

The Bocconi Admission Test is a 75-minute, 50-question test specifically designed for students applying to Bocconi.

Each correct answer is worth 1 point. Incorrect answers cost you 0.2 points. If you score lower than 17, you’re out of the application process. A good competitive score is 35 points out of 50. To achieve this score, you will have to answer every question (no blanks).

All questions are multiple-choice with 5 answers. There are different types of questions and they are mixed by the level of difficulty (easy, medium, difficult) and topic (e.g., reading, math).

2. What’s on the Bocconi test?

There are 4 subject areas on the test: mathematics, reading comprehension, numerical reasoning, and critical thinking. These are mixed up within the test, not separate.

Mathematics (28 questions)

To assess your ability to carry out operations with numbers, figures, and/or arithmetical signs and choose the correct answer quickly and precisely from a series of results. You’ll see:

  • Algebra
  • Functions
  • Plane geometry
  • Analytical geometry
  • Trigonometry
  • Sets
  • Logarithms and exponents
  • Discrete mathematics
  • Numbers
  • Problem-solving
  • Statistics

You can find a description of each math topic area here.

Reading Comprehension (11 questions)

To assess your ability to interpret texts fluently, correctly apply the mental processes associated with the categorization of verbal concepts and information, correctly detail the main, supporting, and/or complementary ideas to draw correct conclusions from a written text. You read a one-paragraph passage and answer a question about it.

Numerical Reasoning (6 questions)

To assess your ability to draw conclusions from charts, graphs, and tables.

Critical Thinking (5 questions)

A passage or data and statements are followed by an assertion, and the applicant must decide whether this information, based on what is given in the passage, is true, false, or it cannot be deduced from the text because information is missing.

3. Can I use a calculator on the Bocconi test?

Unfortunately, you CAN NOT use a calculator on the test. It doesn’t matter for most of the math questions until you get to the combinations, permutations, and probability questions. We teach our students how to conceptualize and calculate combinations and permutations by hand as well as how to pull apart probability questions and apply unconventional strategies. If you want to learn how to do this, WhatsApp us to set up a tutoring session.

4. Is the Bocconi test mandatory?

No, the Bocconi test is not mandatory. You have the option to take the SAT instead.

However, you must take one of the two tests because your score is 55% of your elements of evaluation. In other words, it is the most important part of your application.

Be sure to manage your calendar carefully. The SAT is offered on specific dates throughout the year, whereas you have more flexibility with the Bocconi test.

In fact, we recommend that students take both the ensure they have the most opportunities to present their best score to Bocconi. Besides, the SAT can be used for application to other universities. The Bocconi test is only good for Bocconi. The concepts tested on each test overlap, so you won’t waste time studying for the SAT then taking the Bocconi test.

5. What is the average SAT score for Bocconi?

We have heard from our students applying to Bocconi that the average SAT score is now 1350. Therefore, you need to have a 1350 or above for the maximum competitive advantage to get accepted to Bocconi. Since we also teach SAT, we know that this score is NOT easy to achieve.

6. Is the Bocconi test online?

bocconi test online

The test is online! You can take it from your home, provided you set up your space as per the requirements of the testing agency.

7. How does the Bocconi test work?

It’s super easy to take the Bocconi test and the testing website offers all the information that you need. After you take the test, a detailed score report will be available within 24 hours.

how bocconi works

8. When can I take the Bocconi test?

You can take the test online at any time based on the slots available on the testing website. You have to take the test and get a score BEFORE you submit your application to Bocconi.

The test is not available from:

  • 5 through 23 August 2023
  • 22 September through 1 October 2023
  • 7 December through 10 December 2023
  • 23 December 2023 January through 1 January 2024
  • 31 March through 1 April 2024

Be sure to thoroughly read the Bocconi test site so that you know when you can take the test and the procedure.

Since you can take the test up to 3 times, be sure to take it far in advance of the deadlines so that you have an opportunity to take it again if you need to.

Plan your time and testing wisely!

9. What is the Bocconi test minimum score?

The minimum or “passing” score on the test is 17 out of 50. If you score lower than 17, your application will not be considered in the selection process. Additionally, if you want to study Bachelor in Mathematical and Computing Sciences for Artificial Intelligence, you will need to score at least 11 out of 28 on the math questions.

These scores are achievable IF you prepare. Whatsapp us for a free consultation about how we can help.

10. What is a good Bocconi test score?

A good score that supports your application is 35 points out of 50. In order to score 35, you will need to answer EVERY question on the test. Don’t leave answers blank. Try to use process of elimination to help you get rid of answer choices so that you can guess with more accuracy.

Most importantly…

Learn to manage your time. You only have about 1.5 minutes per question, so you need to work quickly and accurately. Make sure you do enough math practice! You should be able to easily identify how to get “into” a question and if it will take too long to complete.

11. How many times can you take the Bocconi test?

You can take the Bocconi online test more than once. In fact, you can take it 3 (yes 3!) times.

12. Is the Bocconi test hard?

The test is not especially hard if you have prepared.

You will need a full algebra 2 review. Don’t just recognize the concepts from your school classes. Be able to solve them quickly. Even students currently taking calculus need a thorough review of algebra 2 concepts and significant speed practice.

The verbal sections take strategy! You already know how to read and think, so the basics are covered. You have to get used to how the questions are asked and REALLY know how to employ process of elimination to help you work through the answer choices quickly. If you go about the verbal questions the same way that most students do, you won’t score well.

We can show you how to prepare quickly and efficiently for all 4 sections of the Bocconi test. With us, you will get the advantage. On your own…

13. How do I study for the Bocconi test?

Despite what is written on Bocconi’s website, you can prepare for the test and we have seen students increase the number of correct answers with practice.

Even just knowing the actual format of the test increases your score.

We firmly believe that you can prepare for EVERY test…and should.

We know that you can prepare for the Bocconi test, so we’ve written an entire guide about how to study for the Bocconi admission test.

14. What are the Bocconi test dates?

The test is offered online at just about any time you want to take it. Except…

You can’t take the test from:

  • 5 through 23 August 2023
  • 22 September through 1 October 2023
  • 7 December through 10 December 2023
  • 23 December 2023 January through 1 January 2024
  • 31 March through 1 April 2024

15. Is the Bocconi test free?

We wish! The Bocconi test is NOT free.

16. How much does the Bocconi test cost?

It costs 60 Euros each time you take the Bocconi test. You are allowed three attempts (most of our students use them!) so be prepared to spend 180 Euros total to take the Bocconi test.

17. Is the Bocconi test really important for my application?

Yes, it is! The test is 55% of your elements of evaluation. Your GPA and grades count for the other 45% of your elements of evaluation. In other words, the Bocconi test is the most important part of your application.

Why does the university ask for a motivation letter and student resume’ then? Our guess is that it will help them decide between two students that have the same selection score.

Don’t be in that position…

Score well on the Bocconi test the sure you submit the best application possible. Strong test scores require strong preparation!

How to Study for the Bocconi Admission Test

Applying to Bocconi University in Italy but didn’t do well on the SAT? Then you may want to take the Bocconi Admission Test.

What?!? No SAT?

Before you jump at the chance NOT to take the SAT, let’s break down the Bocconi Admission Test and why you may want to take it, even if you took the SAT.

What is the Bocconi Admission Test?

The Bocconi Admission Test is a 75-minute, 50-question test specifically designed for students applying to Bocconi.

Each correct answer is worth 1 point. Incorrect answers cost you 0.2 points. If you score lower than 17, you’re out of the application process. A good competitive score is 35 points out of 50. To achieve this score, you will have to answer every question (no blanks).

All questions are multiple-choice with 5 answers. There are different types of questions and they are mixed by the level of difficulty (easy, medium, difficult) and topic (e.g., reading, math). We’ll cover the 4 subject areas so you know what to expect.

Can you prepare for the Bocconi Admission Test?

esade dubai

Absolutely!

Despite what is written on Bocconi’s website, you can prepare for the test and we have seen students increase the number of correct answers with practice.

Even just knowing the actual format of the test increases your score.

We firmly believe that you can prepare for EVERY test…and should.

Our homeboy Benjamin Franklin once said (or wrote):

“By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.”

So, here’s how we prepare students for the Bocconi Test.

How to Prepare for the Bocconi Admission Test

1. Become familiar with the format of the test.

Read Bocconi’s admissions test page to learn everything you can about the exam.

2. Use SAT reading and math strategies for these subject areas.

Once you actually start looking at each subject area, you’ll see some examples of the questions that parallel (though not exactly the same) what you have seen on the SAT. You can use the same strategies!

For Reading Comprehension, use your SAT writing knowledge. You’ll have to read the passage quickly and carefully, then use process of elimination (POE) to eliminate the incorrect answers. DO NOT try to save time by not reading the passage. Correct answers often tie together concepts from multiple parts of the passage so you will end up reading the whole thing anyway.

Some questions will be easy and some will be hard. They are spread throughout the test and NOT in order of difficulty.

So…

Don’t make the classic test taker mistake of speeding through the easy questions. Take your time on the easy questions so that you get them correct. You need them to build your score because…

Incorrect answers cost you 0.2 points. You should ANSWER EVERY QUESTION on this test.

For harder questions, POE and then guess. Correct answers are 5 times more valuable than incorrect ones so answer every question. Do NOT leave questions to come back to. You only have 75 minutes for 50 questions so it is unlikely that you will have time to get back to it.

The Numerical Reasoning questions are easier versions of SAT math section 4 (the calculator section), which includes more charts, data, and graphs for analysis than the non-calculator section. You won’t need a calculator for the Bocconi test, but you should know your fractions, percents, and decimal equivalents. You may need to estimate the relative numbers from charts and tables.

3. Prepare thoroughly for the math questions.

For math questions, we hope you are up to date on your algebra! If you have done SAT prep, you are more than halfway there. You can expect to see lots of functions, algebra 2, and geometry on the Bocconi test. (If you haven’t prepped for the SAT, email us for help.)

However…

There are also logarithms. Most of the ones we found center around the definitions of logarithms. Be sure to complete these worksheets and really understand how to estimate logs:

4. Do more practice for the Critical Thinking section.

Some questions on the critical thinking part of the Bocconi Admissions Test can be like a logic puzzle. We’ve used these before with students and seen improvement:

If you want something else to practice, try logic puzzles! You can think about them and work them out. It uses the same skills as the Reading Comprehension section.

Lots of Logic Puzzles

5. Take the practice tests!

Use the practice above for practice. When you think you are ready, take one of the practice tests provided by Bocconi. Here are the links to them with our comments.

Practice Test 1

This latest practice test gives you an updated exam of the questions and wording…

But…

The structure doesn’t match the actual test. In the real test, all the questions will be mixed. However, this test is still fantastic for practice. You should do all of the practice tests timed, so spend a maximum of 75 minutes on practice test 1.

The other problem with this test is that all the correct answers are already bolded for you! In order to get rid of that, convert the PDF to a word document and bold everything or unbold everything. No looking at the correct answers ahead of time!

Practice Test 2

This test matches the mixed style of the Bocconi test but it’s only half the length. To compensate, spend only 37.5 minutes completing this test. The answers are on the last page so you can use the PDF as-is.

Practice Test 3

Another test styled like Practice Test 2. Again, take 37.5 minutes to complete.

6. Do the Bocconi Simulation.

You MUST do the online Bocconi test simulation before you take the real example because it is exactly like the real exam. Take it seriously and do the test in only 75 minutes, under test conditions. That means…

Try to set your room up as it will be during the real test…

Don’t use your calculator…

Have your camera positioned correctly (even though it won’t be on)…

And whatever else you can think of for the test set up on the real exam day. You want to run through this setup over and over so that you are not anxious when it’s time for the real exam.

7. Take the Bocconi test more than once.

Yes! Awesome!

You can take the Bocconi online test more than once. In fact, you can take it 3 (yes 3!) times.

Be sure to thoroughly read the Bocconi test site so that you know when you can take the test and the procedure. You must take the test before you apply. Plan your time and testing wisely! A good score that supports your application is 35 points out of 50.

Should you take the Bocconi Admission Test or SAT?

This is the magic question. It’s not really. You should take both.

Preparing for the SAT will make you sharp for the Mathematics, Reading Comprehension, and Numerical Reasoning sections of the Bocconi Admission Test. This advanced preparation drastically cuts down the amount of time needed to prepare for the Bocconi test.

More importantly, the Bocconi Admission Test is only good for Bocconi. If you are applying to other universities (which you should be), they will not accept the Bocconi Test. Therefore, you will probably have to take the SAT anyway.

So then why bother with the Bocconi test?

It’s a great backup in case the SAT doesn’t go how you want. Bocconi University accepts a MINIMUM of 1040 on the SAT, but students often apply with more than 1350.

Less than 1350 on the SAT? Take the Bocconi test as well. We can prepare you for BOTH exams.

GMAT Test Centers in Dubai: Where to Take the GMAT Dubai

There are only 2 GMAT test centers in Dubai! Depending on where you live, they are not well located and, of course, parking can be a problem.

But first, you need to know…

1. You can take the GMAT at home online.

If you’ve got great internet and a chill environment, you should consider taking the GMAT online at home. Taking the test at home means you can take it at just about any time that works with your schedule…even overnight. So taking the GMAT online means you have 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to take the test.

2. Test centers do get booked.

We have found that October through December is the busiest time for GMAT test takers in Dubai. Round 1 deadlines are in October and round 2 deadlines tend to be in December/January. Therefore, many people want to take the exam during this time.

There are also only two GMAT test centers in Dubai. If you can’t find a time you want in the test center, consider taking the GMAT online at home.

Click here to search for the GMAT exam dates Dubai 2023

3. The best GMAT test center in Dubai?

To be honest, neither test center is that great. One is far away from the main part of the city with okay parking. The other is well-located, but parking and construction noise can be a problem. Our recommendation is to go to whichever test center is closest to where you live. You will have less stress getting there and one step closer to crashing at home when the test is over.

FAQ About GMAT Test Centers in Dubai

Where to Take the GMAT Dubai

How can I apply for GMAT in the Dubai?

We wrote a whole article about it! Click here to find out how to register for the GMAT in Dubai.

When can you take the GMAT Dubai?

Anytime! The GMAT is available in test centers 7 days a week, except on holidays. You can also take the test online from home. However, October, November, and December are the busiest months for GMAT test taking, so we recommend taking the GMAT before or after these 3 months.

Should I take the GMAT online or at the test center?

We prefer the test center experience because there are fewer distractions and you know the tech works. You can check the MBA.com website for two videos that explain the differences in the experience.

If you need an unofficial score to send to universities immediately, you should take the exam in the TEST CENTER. As soon as you finish the test, the center will print and stamp an unofficial score report that can immediately be uploaded with your application. Otherwise, you have to wait 7 to 20 days for a score.

How long do I have to wait before I take the GMAT again?

You must wait at least 16 days after you take the GMAT (whether online or in person) before you can retake it.

How much does GMAT cost in Dubai?

The GMAT costs US $275 (about AED 1,010) to take at the test center or US $300 (about AED 1,100) to take at home.

LBS Dubai EMBA Recommendations: The Real Questions!

The LBS Dubai EMBA recommendations can be daunting tasks to complete unless you know the questions beforehand and how to guide your recommenders. Before we reveal the questions, here are a few things you need to know about the LBS Dubai EMBA recommendations:

1. Recommendation letters aren’t necessary.

Our students typically come to us to study for the Executive Assessment with recommendation letters already in process. DON’T DO THIS!

Recommendation letters are not required for the LBS EMBA Dubai application. Here’s how the recommendation submittal process works:

  1. You log into your application.
  2. You complete a form providing the names and email addresses of your recommenders.
  3. The platform sends your recommenders an email with an application ID and validation key to access their secure recommendation.
  4. Your recommender completes a form with specific questions and a rating scale.
  5. The recommendation is saved and submitted automatically without you ever seeing it.

2. LBS Dubai EMBA recommendations can be saved as written.

Your recommenders don’t have to write everything in one go! As long as they save the recommendation, they can return to it later and finish.

Don’t forget to mention the ability to save to your manager when you ask for a recommendation. Hopefully, she will be more likely to complete it if she knows it’s not going to take one whole hour.

3. Each question response only needs to be 1 paragraph.

If your manager loves to write, she can create a 500-word response for each question but this actually is not necessary. One focused paragraph is sufficient to answer the question. However, two paragraphs are even better. The first paragraph would answer the question directly supported by reasons. The second paragraph could briefly tell a story that further supports the recommender’s perspective.

Or, your recommender can follow this standard paragraph PEEL writing format:

  • Point = 1 sentence as a direct answer to the question using the questions words as the start of the response
  • Example = tell a short story that illustrates the point or characteristic; start with “For example,”
  • Explanation = explain more about what happened, the resolution, and how the example supports the point; think in terms of how or why
  • Link = 1 sentence summary that wraps up the answer and links it back to the question

4. You should write talking points for the recommender.

Since you are cut out of the recommendation process, we suggest you send talking points to your recommenders via email. Talking points give them a place to start, making writing the recommendation easier. In addition, you are more likely to get the type of recommendation you want.

Have a great story about your strengths? Don’t hope the recommender remembers. Remind her with the talking points.

Recommendations are one of the best ways to substantiate your resume’ and give more details about your work experience. Here’s what LBS has to say about the value of experience in the admissions process:

You can organize your talking points for each question in the PEEL format above. That way, the recommender can easily write in the correct format.

But isn’t this you writing the recommendations?

It is not. It’s not even you being involved in the draft of the recommendations. The recommender has the OPTION to use the talking points, which keeps you in the clear ethically. Moreover, you are providing NOTES, not full sentences. If you write too much you may cross the line, but notes of just a few words don’t take the place of sentences.

5. The rating questions are the OPPOSITE of what you’re used to.

Just be sure to remind the recommender that 1 is the best and 5 is the worst on the rating scale. We’ve seen this mistake made several times.

There’s a reason that the rating scale is backward from what you expect. It forces your brain to actually think about the answer and not respond on autopilot.

And…

Make sure your recommender doesn’t put 1 for everything. It’s not believable!

One Final Tip about LBS Dubai EMBA Recommendations

Send the recommendation request once you start the application. That way, your recommender will have plenty of time to complete it before the deadline.

It is ideal for your recommendations to be completed before you submit your application. Even better? Recommendations done before the application deadline!

A complete application not only signals your enthusiasm about the program but also shows that you are organized and managed the process well. Besides, the admissions committee can’t give you a conditional acceptance without reading your recommendations.

When to Apply for the LBS EMBA Dubai September Intake

Wondering when to apply for the LBS EMBA Dubai September intake? We’ve got expert advice that considers all aspects of the application process.

What makes us experts?

We have a 100% success rate getting students into the LBS Executive MBA Dubai program. Seriously, every student that we work with gets into the program.

How is that possible?

1. We help students through the entire process.

Your application for the LBS EMBA Dubai September intake is holistic. If your entire profile is being evaluated, then you need someone who can actually help you through the entire process. Here’s what we do for students that work with us:

  • Strategize with them on how to get a conditional acceptance BEFORE they take any admissions tests.
  • Overhaul their resumes and CVs, including making the resume’ one page and results-oriented (this is hard to do!).
  • Recommend who should recommend them and create talking points to get the BEST recommendation possible.
  • Brainstorm and edit essays (both inside the application and the main admissions essays).
  • Advise how to speak with admissions officers.
  • Explain how to conquer the Kira interview.
  • Prep for the LBS EMBA Zoom interview.
  • Teach them how to ace the Executive Assessment.
  • Review scholarship essays.

No, we don’t just teach the EA. We do it all.

2. We have worked with LBS applicants since the program began.

More than a decade of experience is a hard thing to come by in Dubai. But we have it. The same consultant has been working with LBS applicants since the Executive MBA program was launched here. She knows how the program has changed and what the program looks for in students consistently.

3. We work with students every year–you get that feedback.

Hands down the most important aspect of working with us! We work with several students applying to the LBS Executive MBA program during different times of the year.

We will give you feedback from those students about the process so you know the latest information. The details we give you are better than what you will find in any GMAT or MBA forum…it’s the combined experience of several successful applicants FILTERED through the knowledge of a consultant.

Now that you know we are experts, here’s the best time to apply for the LBS EMBA September intake and why.

The Best Time to Apply for the LBS EMBA Dubai September Intake

lbs dubai september deadlines

The deadlines for the September intake are done in rounds that end usually around:

  • 1: end of February
  • 2: end of March
  • 3: late April
  • 4: beginning of June
  • 5: beginning of July

The best time to apply is Round 1, 2, or 3. That’s right…you should apply for the LBS EMBA Dubai September intake no later than the end of April.

Do you have to apply by the end of April? No, you don’t. We’ve successfully helped students be admitted later than that. But after April is suboptimal. Here’s why:

1. Most scholarships for the LBS EMBA Dubai September intake have a mid-June deadline.

If you want to be considered for any scholarships, you definitely want to apply by the end of April. There are automatic scholarships to LBS Dubai and ones that you have to specifically apply for. You cannot be considered or apply until you are accepted. Most of the deadlines are around June 15th.

If your scholarship requires you to write an essay, you need time to think about it and work through a few drafts. Since there are thousands of pounds and prestige on the line, you don’t want to rush or recycle something from your admissions essays.

All that work takes time…

2. You’ll be relieved to be done by Ramadan and the summer.

Wouldn’t you love to have a peaceful Ramadan, Eid 1, Eid 2, and summer? Of course, you would. The best way to get that peace is to know that you set for September.

Many people think of this the opposite way. They think they will have more time to prepare for the application, interviews, and EA if they do it during the holidays. Unfortunately, this way of thinking simply heightens your anxiety when you should be resting.

Once September starts, you’ll be double-timing it.

3. You can prepare your job and family.

The LBS Executive MBA is a long haul. It’s almost two years time from work, weekend classes, late dinners, and ruined weekends.

You need to prepare your family by taking them on a mega summer vacation before the program starts. You also need to prepare your job because you may be handing off some responsibilities or renegotiating your commitments.

If you want a smooth transition, this planning will take time. Prefer to struggle during the first few months of the EMBA program? Then apply late.

4. You are more likely to be invited to special LBS events.

Throughout the year, LBS Dubai hosts special events for applicants, accepted students, and current students. We’ve known students to be invited to tea with the LBS dean (who had flown in from London), drinks at swanky Dubai hotels, and much more.

Trust us…you want to be invited.

For applicants, an invitation is a good sign you’ll be accepted. For accepted students, you’ll start networking and transforming (which is a big part of what you want from the program).

So what’s the best time to apply for the LBS EMBA Dubai September intake? By the end of April, definitely.

GMAT Exam Dates Dubai 2022

Looking for the GMAT exam dates Dubai 2022? No problem! The GMAT exam is available year-round.

That’s right! You can take the GMAT at any time.

You can search the dates to plan for your GMAT preparation and applications to MBA programs.

Click here to search for the GMAT exam dates Dubai 2022 (create an account first)

But…there are a few things you need to know before you search the dates and register for the GMAT.

5 Things to Know About the GMAT Exam Dates 2022

2. Your GMAT score is good for 5 years.

Plan well in advance and you’ll score well! Since your GMAT score is good for 5 years, you should prepare for and take the GMAT whenever you are at a point in your life when you have more time (Ramadan anyone?). Some of our most successful students take the GMAT fresh out of university or after a work training/short course because they are still in study mode.

The worst time to take the GMAT is when you are under pressure professionally and personally. These high-stress situations rarely make for great scores.

3. Not every university requires the GMAT.

High undergraduate GPA? Willing to take a custom admissions test? You may not need to take the GMAT.

If you have any idea of the MBA programs you want to apply to, be sure to check their requirements. Many universities in the US now provide GMAT waivers for students who graduated GPAs higher than 3.5 on a 4.0 scale in undergraduate. Some universities in Europe, including Manchester, IE, and Esade, have their own admissions tests that you can take instead of the GMAT.

Put one or two of these universities on your list of MBA programs to increase your odds of getting in.

4. Plan to prepare for 2 to 4 months.

GMAT preparation takes time! We recommend that students who do GMAT private tutoring with us take 3 months. This length of time gives students enough time to:

  • Take 1 lesson a week
  • Finish all homework as the lessons progress
  • Do a complete concept review
  • Become used to GMAT-style questions
  • Take lots of practice tests

We’ve all heard the legend of the person who didn’t study, walked into the test, and score 700+ on the GMAT. We work with a lot of students and this almost never happens.

Take a look at the GMAT exam dates Dubai 2022 then schedule your studying accordingly.

High performers stack the odds in their favor. Prepare for the GMAT properly and you’ll be happy with your score.

FAQ about GMAT Exam Dates in Dubai 2022

When can I give GMAT in 2022?

Anytime! The GMAT is available in test centers 7 days a week, except on holidays. You can also take the test online from home.

Which month is GMAT exam conducted?

Every month! However, October, November, and December are the busiest months for GMAT test taking, so we recommend taking the GMAT before or after these 3 months.

How do I register to take the GMAT in Dubai?

We wrote a whole article about it! Click here to find out how to register for the GMAT in Dubai.

The global pandemic of the last two years turned the SAT schedule upside down. Now it’s back on track! 2022-2023 SAT Test Goes Digital!

Starting with the March 11, 2023 SAT, the test will be digital! That’s right…

You’ll be taking the SAT on the computer. Updates are pending because the changeover is about a year away, but the pencil and paper exam will no longer be offered after March 2023.

We think the SAT going digital is good news for several reasons:

  • Faster test results
  • More time for registration
  • More in line with the way people are reading these days

It will be interesting to see how they handle the calculations and the calculator for the math sections. Other tests use a whiteboard, which a lot of people hate, and an on-screen calculator, which slows down your calculations. We recommend getting the test out of the way NOW since you know what to expect. The 2022-2023 test cycle may be a bit chaotic.

SAT Guidelines for Outside the US

  • The SAT is NOT offered all the time. It’s only offered a few times a year for students in Dubai.

  • There is no November SAT for students in Dubai.

  • There are no SAT Subject Tests or essays anymore.
  • The SAT costs about AED 393 to take.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register for the SAT?

Click this link to register for one of the 2022-2023 test dates and click the register button next to the date.

Can I register for the SAT in May even if it’s only November?
Yes, you can! As long as there is a registration link on the College Board website under the date, you can register to take the SAT on that date. Read our step-by-step instructions to register for the SAT in Dubai.

Where can I take the SAT in Dubai?
Too many places to mention. Many schools in Dubai offer the SAT, so you can search on the College Board website for the one closest to you with available seats.

How many times can I take the SAT?
As many as you want. You have “Score Choice,” which means can send 1 or all of your SAT scores to your chosen universities. They will only see the scores you send them, so they won’t know how many times you took the SAT. More than twice is kind of a waste of money though…

Do I need to take the SAT to apply to Canadian universities?
It depends on the university and the curriculum in which you are studying. In general, if you are studying in an American curriculum school, you need to take the SAT. For example, McGill University requires an SAT score of 1150 minimum. Plan accordingly!

How much does it cost to take the SAT in Dubai?
It costs AED 393 to take the SAT in Dubai. The standard SAT fee is US $60 plus the international testing fee, which is $47. You must pay the full AED 393 online by credit or debit card when you register for the SAT. The fees have increased by AED 20 since the 2021-2022 SAT.

67 Sample Kira Interview Questions

Looking for Kira interview questions? We’ve got a huge list right here for you!

Don’t know what a Kira interview is?

Basically, it is a video recording of your response to questions. Kira is the platform that administers the interview. Here’s how it works:

  • A question pops up on the screen.
  • You have less than 1 minute to prepare an answer.
  • At the end of the prep time, your camera comes on and records your response to the question.

Watch this video for more about the platform:

The questions come from a database so you don’t usually know what the Kira interview questions will be ahead of time unless the school tells you. Want to know the details? Read our complete overview and tips here.
